Welcome to Shiloh United Methodist Church!

Welcome to Shiloh United Methodist Church, we are so happy to have you here! Here are a couple things to know about our church so you can discover if we are the church family for you!

  • EVERYONE is welcome! Here at Shiloh we believe everyone, no matter what, is a child of God. We strive to be a place where no matter who you are, no matter who you love, and no matter where you are on your faith journey, you are welcome here.

  • We have an Open Table! What does this mean? During the holy sacrament of communion we let everyone partake in it. The communion table is not ours, it belongs to God. Therefore, we invite you to come forward and partake in this sacrament if you are comfortable. All ages welcome to partake and serve. Shiloh UMC has communion every Sunday.

  • We work to be God’s hands and feet in the world. United Methodists are known for their acts of service in communities and the world. Shiloh UMC is no different, we work hard to provide services for our community as well as globally. We want our world to be filled with God’s love and what a better way than helping people in need!

Meet the Team

  • Rev. Alison Skillman

    PASTOR

Greetings friends! My name is Rev. Alison Skillman, and my pronouns are she/her. I was raised in Livingston, Montana where I discovered the United Methodist Church at the age of 9, thanks to a friend who invited me to youth group. I quickly got involved in the church, starting to feel a nudge towards pursuing ministry. In 2013, I graduated from Park High School in Livingston and went on to receive my Bachelor's in Religious Studies at Montana State University. Go Cats go! During those four years of my undergrad, there was a lot of discernment in that time where I discovered my call to pastoral ministry. I graduated with my Master's of Divinity from Iliff School of Theology in Denver in 2021. I began working at Shiloh UMC in July of 2022, so I am new here!

I am so excited to see how we can all cultivate a beloved community together!

  • Erica Spurlin

    SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHER

  • Pam Dandrea

    FINANCIAL SECRETARY

I have an Associate Degree in Business. I’ve worked in finance and administration for many, many years. This is my second time working at the church. I love camping and spending time with family and friends (sometimes at the same time). I love the church book club ladies and the book/Bible study groups I have attended.

I love my church family and am happy to serve them when, and where, possible.

  • Susan Hathaway

    TREASURER

For several years, I have been Finance Chair and in 2020 became Shiloh UMC's Treasurer. I am a numbers person with an accounting and office management background backed up by a Business Administration Bachelor's degree. Shiloh is the third church that I have served at as Treasurer, and I find it rewarding.

My spiritual journey started almost 70 years ago from sprinkle baptism, confirmation, teaching Sunday School, Walk to Emmaus, Prison Ministry and Lay Leadership training. I am a mother, grandmother, and as of 2020 a widow. Shiloh has become a special home to me with which my journey continues to be a blessing. Shiloh has become my extended family. I have found spiritual mentors and hope that I can be a mentor to others in their journey. The Finance/Stewardship Team, Shiloh Caregivers Support Group, Mission Team, Hospitality Team, Endowment Team and Trustee support are very special to me.
